Summoning Requirements?

So I'm at the Lihzahrd Altar, with several (five) Lihzahrd Power Cells. But Golem does not appear. [ie I kill Wall of Flesh in (v1.2) World 1 (Hardmode begins). Kill Plantera in World 1, get Temple Key. Go to newly created (v1.2) World 2, which is still in pre-Hardmode, in order to not have to deal with Hardmode-only mobs. Enter Lihzahrd Dungeon, arrive at Lihzahrd Altar. Golem does not appear when Lihzahrd Power Cells are placed on the Altar.]

Is it absolutely (confirmed) necessary: A) to have the world be in Hardmode (Wall of Flesh beaten) AND B) to beat Plantera in the SAME world in order to trigger a flag fight the Golem? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.228.18.231 at 23:46, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

I don't know what the issue is on your end. I have taken a Lihzahrd Altar and power cells to a pre-hardmode world with no defeated Plantera and gotten the Golem to spawn just fine. I think the altar and the power cells are literally the only requirements. Are you trying to use the cells on the altar? What you're actually supposed to do is right click on the altar. new Easiest boss

1 quick note, but i think since the whole deal about the golem being really easy to defeat, perhaps there should be a moving of "this is considered the easiest hardmorde boss" from the destroyer to this page. just a suggestion, if you disagree, please give me a reason, because I cant find any within myself.

I understand why you think he's easy, but I think it depends on where he spawns. I could see him being difficult, but I've yet to play a game where he spawns in the open.

I am not the best at dodging, but I found golem's eyes lasers very dangerous. As of 1.4, the weakest hardmode boss is probably just the Queen Slime. 73.4.114.147 15:20, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

Shotbow vs. Megashark

Trivia

Summoning

Yes, using hoiks to get into the temple, it does not work. The only way to activate it is by defeating WOF then the mechanical bosses then finally plantera. P.S I am a player. 68.34.66.159 16:56, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

The traps

Blocked entrance

You might have missed a path to the altar, if not, it is likely a slight bug or glitch in world generation. If it is the latter, it is best to report it on the Terraria Community Forums. --Tymon80 (talk) 14:56, 31 August 2018 (UTC)

Steampunker wings on console

After browsing the wiki following the 1.4 update on pc I noticed that it said in the steampunker wings info that they would be available for sale after defeating the golem and it didn't differentiate between pc on console. I know that wikis such as this one can turn into a bit of a mess following an update and I just bought the wings from the steampunker about a week ago after defeating all of the mechanical bosses but I just want a second person to back me up on this one just to be safe because bugs aren't a rare thing in my experiences Victim100 (talk) 17:59, 25 February 2019 (UTC)

The altar and Actuators

aftermath: cultists & skeletron

i just wanted to confirm that if you kill golem but not skeletron the cultists at the dungeon will not appear and the old man will stay there and the dungeon will stay locked

Amount of Stynger Bolts dropped wrong?

I just received 150 Stynger Bolts from Golem. The page says it should drop 60-99. Is this outdated 'cus of 1.4? TheJzoli (talk) 16:21, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
