The Picksaw is a Hardmode pickaxe and axe that has a 1/4 (25%) / 1/3 (33.33%) chance of being dropped by Golem. It can mine all blocks.

Its best modifier is Legendary. However, due to rounding, Legendary, Light, Deadly, Agile, Quick, and Nasty provide equal boosts to mining speed for this tool.

Tips

• The Picksaw has a lower range bonus than the Spectre Pickaxe (which has a +3 range).
• It has a slower mining speed than the Shroomite Digging Claw (which has a mining speed of 4, i.e. mines blocks 33.33% faster). However, the Picksaw is able to mine Lihzahrd Bricks and has a +1 range bonus.
  • As with any pickaxe with 7 mining speed or less, mining speed bonuses and a good modifier can bring the Picksaw to the minimum mining speed of 1.

Trivia

• The Picksaw is referenced in the Drax's tooltip: 'Not to be confused with a picksaw'.
• Picksaw is a portmanteau of the words pickaxe and saw.
