Pre Hardmode

I think that hard mode is a good starting place for people that are just starting to play. The mobs ang the difficulty is just right, for all the new people.

Hardmode

Hardmode is a good place for advanced players, and me too. It has new bosses, and a whole harder game with new items, Mobs, and blocks.

Rewrite

I'm taking up the task of rewriting this guide. Gearzein (talk) 16:10, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

It is good that someone is taking this task. Be careful, however, that you don't turn this into one of the starter guides. --0icke0 (talk) 20:16, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Redirection

I don't understand why on this wiki, some pages redirect to "pre-Hardmode" instead of "Hardmode". I agree the fact that "Pre-hardmode" isn't write like "Hardmode" but still. -- Dinoxel discussion 01:25, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

What do add and what not...

I was just about to add the Hermes Boots and their different variants and upgrades when I noticed that he site doesn't list accessories. Or minecarts. Or potions. Before I do a lot of work in vain: Does a "Movement Speed" subcategory to "Exploration" make sense or is this article following guidelines that omit accessories on purpose? I'm also thinking about some reorganizing under "Mobility", making teleporting items their own thing, etc. Also a question for any admin that might wander by: How frequented is this article? It is only linked from the Pre-Hardmode article, which in itself seems to be rather... humble. (I stumbled over it by chance.) When I look at it, I see a useful tool for new players to get some quick bearings without having to read the strategy guides - and a good resource for editors of pre-hc guides. On the other hand I wouldn't want to forcefully plaster a dozen articles with a link here, just for the sake of it. --89.31.57.5 21:37, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Same poster here. I just wanted to say that while the bug fixing and optimization for the 1.4.0.x Terraria is going into hiatus, I'm going into Terraria-hiatus as well. Just so nobody thinks I'm rude for not reacting to their reply or something. --176.10.104.240 20:22, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
I'm not among the contributors of this article, but I'll attempt to answer your questions. For starters you are correct that this page is missing a lot of items, and given its generic title I doubt it follows any specific theme like "exploration". I'm guessing items like potions have just been forgotten. In its current state it is incomplete and requires an overhaul. However, I likewise expect it has few visitors. Given how most topic pages (like Pickaxes) readily present what items are Pre-Hardmode you could also argue this article is redundant. A possible fix might be creating new lists which automatically load items based on category, but that would probably require some work. I'll keep this article in mind to see if I can make any improvements in the future. As for the Pre-Hardmode article (which I have been a contributor to) I'll admit it's "humble", though it's always seemed like there's not much else to add to it. How about Armors?

Are there Pre-Hardmode Armors/Accessories that increase the Summon Capacity? Piostephanie (talk) 10:00, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

Flinx Fur Coat, Bee armor and Obsidian armor are the three pre-hardmode armour/armour sets that increase Minion capacity. Summoning Potions and the Bewitching Table are the other pre-hardmode ways to buff Minion capacity.Metalax (talk) 05:48, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
I forgot, since 1.4.1 Pygmy Necklace that boosts Minion capacity can also be obtained pre-hardmode. Metalax (talk) 08:51, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Should the cell phone be placed in pre-hardmode items?

The cell phone is nowhere in the informational section in pre-hardmode items, and idk if I should edit it to place it there or not. Idontevenknowanymore (talk) 20:45, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

shell phone

Shell Phone

id like to add the Shell Phone to informational accessories (reason listed in edit history), but it displays a question mark as the item in the preview. could somebody look at that? NationOfKiribati (talk) 23:39, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
