Terraria Wiki:Projects/Legacy content
Old-gen console and
content should be better separated from modern content to reduce confusion for readers. Per the Community noticeboard discussion, it should be moved to its own custom namespace, called
Legacy:
(namespace ID 11000).
Before we tackle migrating all the content, we ought to lay out some guidelines for what the legacy pages should look like and how they should be formatted, and collect them here.
Some first testing pages are:
- Zapinator
- Dragon armor
- Titan armor
- Spectral armor
- Tizona
- Tonbogiri
- Sharanga
- Spectral Arrow
- Vulcan Repeater
- Vulcan Bolt
- Egg Cannon
- Fabulous set
- George's set
- Holy Hand Grenade
- Heart Arrow
- Roman candle
- Horned God set
- Oktoberfest sets
- Hallowed armor
- Mimics
- Night's Edge
- Arch Demon
- Orca
- Compass
- Fiery Greatsword
- True Night's Edge
- Music Boxes
- True Excalibur
- Terra Blade
- Depth Meter
Recipes
All recipes that are exclusive to legacy platforms are no longer registered on the main pages (Recipes/Altar/register, Recipes/Ancient Manipulator/register, etc.) but instead on their counterparts in the Legacy:
namespace (Legacy:Recipes/Altar/register, Legacy:Recipes/Bookcase/register, etc.). These recipes are the only ones that will show up via {{recipes}}
on articles in the Legacy:
namespace. These legacy recipes will for now still show up by default on articles in mainspace, but they can be suppressed there with the parameter |legacy=no
. Only use this parameter if a corresponding legacy article with the suppressed legacy recipes exists – otherwise readers cannot find the legacy recipes.
For an example, compare True Excalibur#Recipes and Legacy:True Excalibur#Recipes. The mainspace article has |legacy=no
which hides the legacy recipe there. The legacy article only shows this legacy recipe by default.
