Help!

Gearzein, how do you delete pages? Some people are creating random pages that have absolutely nothing to do with Terraria. Example: Stan Lee. Please tell me how. LordofEditing (talk) 19:59, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Only sysops have the ability to delete pages. People vandalize wikis all the time, and there are plenty of users who do sweeps for it and get rid of it. The Stan Lee page was taken care of days ago by another admin, and I personally do a check for nonsense pages once a day if I can. If you'd like, you can add a {{delete}} template to these pages to flag them- this is recommended over commenting on a talk page, because that too must also be deleted. That said, there's so many other means of weeding them out that you can realistically just wait and they'll disappear before long. Gearzein (talk) 20:57, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
You were still asking about this, so I'm presuming you didn't see this answer. I'm copypasting it here from my own talk page. Traditionally, replies occur in chains on the talk page they started on, so this has been on my talk page for a few days now. Further, you've been asking this on our personal userpages, not talk pages. Please be more careful in the future. Gearzein (talk) 02:38, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

Undo

I have to wonder if you've noticed that in a couple of your recent reverts to my edits, you've actually been re-adding garbage text that I was removing. Please pay closer attention to what you're actually doing to a page in the future, as there seems to be a somewhat consistent disconnect between your edit summaries and the actual changes made to the page. Occasional mistakes are understandable, and technically it's not vandalism, but consistent carelessness or misunderstanding to the same effect is indistinguishable to readers and just as detrimental to the wiki. If you continue to demonstrate the inability to appropriately use the editing tools, then your use of them will unfortunately have to be revoked. Gearzein (talk) 17:38, 18 January 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for notifying me about that. Also, do you know how to patrol pages? LordofEditing (talk) 19:00, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
Only admins can patrol pages. It's meant to essentially flag an edit as verified, indicating that it's been checked and requires no further attention. Considering that I've just recently reprimanded you for inattentiveness in checking the content of edits and had to clean up after you as a result, it's not a function that you should concern yourself with for the time being. Honestly, you should focus more on not leaving mediawiki editor templates in places where your cursor strays than any higher-level reporting functions like deletion or reporting. Gearzein (talk) 04:26, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Are you even reading the actual achievement wording? Because if you actually look, those are the exact words. TOTORO01 00:50, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks you for notifying me about this situation, because it can get slightly confusing with whole undo function as the latest revision concept can misdirect me to thinking that is the page I'm converting it to. May I ask, if I would happen to come across vandalism, would I delete the vandalism and report the user/IP address? Cheers. LordofEditing (talk) 03:19, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

Phasesabers with negative IDs

Sorry for confusing you. The source of information is: [PC 1.3.2 Changelog | Page 12 | Terraria Community Forums]

.. A bunch of these items IDs were taken up by Phasesabers, which were renumbered to partially resolve the Weapon Rack Phasesaber bug. Previously, they actually had negative Item IDs, so this is just a re-assignment of numbers, not actual new items. - Leinfors

It's well known that several items (including Phasesabers) have negative IDs among MOD users. - 113.158.238.248 08:25, 18 August 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know, for the negative ID's looked slightly dodgy. LordofEditing (talk) 21:05, 18 August 2016 (UTC)

Please note that the Chinese translation can be found here (simplified). --0icke0 (talk) 08:22, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Template:Master Template Consumables

Why did you remove all those icons from Template:Master Template Consumables? Ferretwings (talk) 02:06, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

They need not be there. LordofEditing (talk) 04:32, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

Updates

If you have been on the forums recently, you'll see that console also received the 1.2.4 update and therefore every single 1.2.4 item is available on mobile and console. I play the mobile and PC version and I know that Super Mana Potions can be crafted on mobile. Here's a simple formula that usually works: Mobile availability=Console availability. LordofEditing (talk) 04:08, 3 April 2016 (UTC) You can refer to Console version history for further details.

When was their last update? I've been going by what's on their "missing" list. --Ferretwings (talk) 04:34, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
You must be mistaken then. YouTuber Akronauts has acquired many of the 1.2.4 items on console. These include: Truffle Worm, Dog Whistle and Heavy Workbench. LordofEditing (talk) 04:36, 3 April 2016 (UTC). Also ah, note note post time? Last edited December 2nd 2015? Two month delay? You realise it it April now? And no this is not an April Fools prank.
I just checked the forums, and Console should be in sync with Mobile by the end of April. Their "missing" list is still current. --Ferretwings (talk) 05:29, 3 April 2016 (UTC) (source [1])
Leave it then only a few weeks away. Last time I checked the forums it said would be in sync in March.LordofEditing (talk) 20:00, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

Please check a mobile recipe?

An editor removed one of the recipes for Glass Clock. Could you check if it's still on mobile? The recipe was:
Glass Clock : Glass (18) @ Glass Kiln -- Ferretwings (talk) 01:09, 20 July 2016 (UTC)

The glass clock is available on mobile. 18 glass @ glass kiln. LordofEditing (talk) 04:31, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

Hastur trivia

As said in the edit summary, I removed the Hastur trivia because it's completely unsubstantiated player speculation. The "cthulhu's brother" comment is an offhand joke. No one on the dev team has actually mentioned Hastur relative to the Moon Lord, and nothing in game even alludes to this character, much less connects the two. The trivia policy indicates that if a trivia point needs to clarify that it lacks proof, then it's better off removed. If you have proof, please add and cite it in the references section. Readding it without any proof or explanation is both bad form and counter to wiki policy. Gearzein (talk) 01:05, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

I have put a reference next to it, and I will shift it. LordofEditing (talk) 03:47, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

Thanksgiving

Has the mobile Thanksgiving event already begun? If so, we should edit all the Thanksgiving-related pages and change the date. – Ferretwings (talk) 02:28, 2 November 2016 (UTC)

I'll check. LordofEditing (talk) 02:48, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
Indeed, Thanksgiving has started on mobile! The MerchantMerchant is now selling the Turkey featherTurkey feather(3DS version)! LordofEditing (talk) 07:27, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
It seems the event began on November 1st. That's when an editor changed the date on the Cursed stuffing page. Makes me wish I had the mobile version, lol! – Ferretwings (talk) 14:32, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
Now you're making me nostalgic about the PC version times... LordofEditing (talk) 06:40, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Hair Dye on Mobile version

Mobile version The Hair Dye page is contradictory. First, it says that Hair Dye cannot be placed into the player's inventory, and then under Notes, it says it can. They cannot both be correct. An editor tried to clear up the misunderstanding, but his edit got reverted. Could you please check on this? If you look in the page's history, you can see the edit. If the edit was correct, we should re-instate it. Thanks :) – Ferretwings (talk) 04:38, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

This may be my fault, I thought he had added a note that already existed in different wording, hadn't noticed that he deleted the part about it being unable to exist in the players inventory.TOTORO01 (talk) 04:45, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
Ah, I see. I still would like to know if the note is still valid. I guess I could just go ahead and revert back to his edit. – Ferretwings (talk) 04:48, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
Okay, I believe I've made some sense of it. If a mobile user could look over my edit, and see if it looks right, I'd be grateful :) :) – Ferretwings (talk) 05:10, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
You can in fact purchase hair dye, and can be stored in your inventory. Will restore edits. LordofEditing (talk) 19:35, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
Sorry the fact about the inventory needs checking. But purchasing and immediately equipping hair dye is very normal. LordofEditing (talk) 19:37, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
Nope, you cannot collect hair dye into your inventory, if you can, it must be a glitch. The mobile interface directly equips the dye into the player's hair, therefore not placing it in the player's inventory. The interface is a like a menu, with hair color and dye being directly chosen and equipped. LordofEditing (talk) 22:42, 27 November 2016 (UTC)

Rollback

I've added the "rollback" feature to your account at Terraria Wiki. Please have a look at Help:Rollback for some important information about this tool, and how it is to be used. Thanks, and feel free to contact me with any questions. Equazcion (talk) 23:13, 6 Dec 2016 (UTC)

Ok. LordofEditing (talk) 00:14, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
Remember not to use rollback except on blatant vandalism (referring to this). Please read Help:Rollback if you haven't yet -- it contains the rules, in addition to documentation. Equazcion (talk) 22:15, 8 Dec 2016 (UTC)
Ok. LordofEditing =(Talk)= 22:49, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
I would like to remind you again to use the rollback only on blatant vandalism (referring to edits on Lightning Boots, this and this edit). Flisch42 (talk) 21:06, 11 December 2016 (UTC)

Ichor

Hey lord of editing, its TheRagingFire, you reverted an edit I made, even though it contained Useful information Ichor can be used to create flasks, that are useful all the way up until the moon lord, even though I'm more of a Mage, I do think that the new ichor flasks give a massive edge Thank you for listening TheRagingFire (talk) 17:20, 7 December 2016 (UTC)

I moved this here from Talk:LordofEditing. -- Equazcion (talk) 17:28, 7 Dec 2016 (UTC)
I reverted his edit, TheRagingFire, because I saw the recipes and how they can be very useful. I agree that ichor flasks seem incredibly good.TOTORO01 (talk) 18:37, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
I guess the Ichor Flask seems useful, other than that the Golden Shower is only useful from Plantera maybe to Fishron. LordofEditing (Talk) 19:00, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
