I like to use Shine, Obsidian Skin, Ironskin, Spelunker, and Regeneration, so that means:
- 1 Blinkroot
- 1 Fireblossom
- 1 Waterleaf
- 1 Moonglow
- 3 Daybloom
Ores and assorted mushrooms, bottles, etc. are easy to get, so I stock up a chestful and leave it in my base. I usually head out with no less than 5 of each potion, though I prefer more. More than 20 of each seems to be a waste of time.
A typical setup is thus, assuming appropriate walkway space and fluid tanks:
+--------------------------------------+ | | | FFFFFFFFFFFFFF WWWWWWWWWWWWWW | <=== Fireblossom, Waterleaf tanks | |~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| |~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| | +--+^^^^^^^^^^^^^^+--+^^^^^^^^^^^^^^+--+ | | | MMMMMMMMMMMMMM BBBBBBBBBBBBBB | <=== Moonglow and Blinkroot, on the same level for +--+^^^^^^^^^^^^^^+--+^^^^^^^^^^^^^^+--+ easy night harvesting | | | DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD | +--+^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^+--+ | | <=== Enough Daybloom for lots of Shines and others | DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD | +--+^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^+--+
I get enough herbs to do the job, plus extra Daybloom. I make Obsidians up to my desired amount, then make a matching amount of Spelunkers, Regens, and Ironskins. All the Daybloom I have left goes into making Shine potions (the only one I use constantly, and not just in combat or harsh environs).
