The Swiftness Potion is a buff potion which grants the Swiftness buff when consumed. The buff increases the player's maximum movement speed by 25%, but does not stack with sprinting accessories (such as Hermes Boots), nor does it affect the speed of mounts. This lasts for 8 minutes, but can be canceled at any time by right-clicking the icon (Desktop version), by selecting the icon using Cycle Next/Previous Buff and then pressing Remove Buff (Console version), or by double-tapping the buff icon (Mobile version).

In addition to being crafted, Swiftness Potions can be found in pots, chests, and crates, and have a small chance to appear as a bonus drop from slimes.

Notes

  • Though the Swiftness buff alone will not boost the player's top running speed when they have a sprinting accessory equipped, it will boost top speed further when running on Asphalt Blocks, and also increases horizontal air speed by an extremely small amount.
  • The Swiftness buff stacks with the effects of the Slice of Cake.
  • The Swiftness Potion can also be used with Sunflowers and other movement accessories to increase the player's top speed even further.
