Il Ghiacciaio, inoltre conosciuto comeTundra sotterranea, è un bioma è l'equivalente sotterraneo della Tundra, Inizia allo strato della Caverna e si conclude con lo strato della lava. nelle versioni Versione Nintendo 3DSVersione Nintendo 3DS, il ghiacciaio inizia allo strato Sotterraneo, è composto prevalentemente di blocchi di neve e blocchi di ghiaccio. Il ghiaccio sottile può esere generato sopra dell' acqua e viene rotto se un entità ci cade sopra da un altezza maggiore di 4 blocchi (a meno che non si stia usando i pattini da ghiaccio o un accessorio da loro derivato). Il ghiacciaio è l'unico luogo dove si possono trovare delle Casse congelate ((Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Ice Chests) naturalmnte.

In Hardmode, La corruzione, la Cremisi, e Il Sacrilegio possono espandersi attraverso di loro, generando rispettivamente Blocchi di ghiaccio viola, rossi, and rosa.Nono sono capaci però di passare espandersi attravrso i blocchi di neve.

  • Most enemies in the Ice biome as well as in the Snow biome inflict the Chilled debuff, and more rarely the Frozen debuff.
  • An artificial snow biome can *not* be made using slush blocks.
