The Kwad Racer Drone is a Hardmode, post-Plantera novelty item purchased from the Cyborg for 10 GC. Pressing the Use / Attack button while selected in the hotbar summons a harmless drone that can be controlled by the ▲ Up, ◀ Left, and ▶ Right buttons. Pressing Use / Attack again or switching to another item instantly destroys the drone. The player appears to wield a remote control when the drone is in use.

The player is locked in place while the drone is active. Equipping the FPV Goggles will center the camera on the drone.

Notes

  • The item is not consumed upon use and does not have a mana cost. The drone can be re-summoned limitlessly.
  • As the drone is a projectile, it can trigger Teal Pressure Pads.
  • The drone can be dyed via the pet slot in the equipment menu.
  • The effects from the biome the player is in, including music, retain when the drone is in a different biome or depth level while using the FPV Goggles.
    • For example, flying the drone from the Underworld to the Cavern will keep the Underworld music and the heatwave effect.
  • Console versionMobile versionFlying the drone can be much more difficult thanks to the thumbstick controls.
