Essi seguono la IA volante, fluttuando giusto fuori dal raggio del giocatore e poi caricando, nel mentre sparano pungiglioni che hanno una possibilità su 3 di infliggere il debuff Avvelenamento al giocatore per 10 secondi. Questi proiettili non possono essere distrutti con le armi, e hanno la stessa velocità dei dardi sparati da una Trappola dardi. In Modalità Esperto, i Calabroni sparano pungiglioni più frequentemente.

Trivia

• Anche se il Dragon Hornet ha un solo pungiglione come i Calabroni, ne può lasciare fino a tre.

• The Bestiary entry for the Calabrone: "Insetti volanti aggressivi che infestano le profondità della giungla. Le loro spine velenose percorrono grandi distanze ad alta velocità."

• Desktop 1.3.0.1: Hornets will no longer shoot at you while Stealthed.

• Desktop 1.2.3: Will no longer drop the Ancient Cobalt Helmet and the Ancient Cobalt Leggings together.

• Desktop 1.2: Health and damage reduced by 4% and 24% respectively.
  • Now have a chance to drop Ancient Cobalt armor when killed.

• Desktop 1.1: Melee damage reduced from 45/38/32 to 40/34/28 respectively.
