The Sroller is a Hardmode, post-Lunatic Cultist enemy that spawns in the area of the Solar Pillar during the Lunar Events. It can curl into a ball, start spinning and hurls itself at the player, gaining increased defense and dealing high contact damage, similarly to a Giant Tortoise or Ice Tortoise. The Sroller can also create explosions on impact with blocks, dealing even higher area of effect damage.

Notes

  • The explosions from Srollers are actually a special type of contact damage instead of projectiles, so they can interact with effects related with contact damage (e.g. they can be parried by Brand of the Inferno or Sergeant United Shield).
  • Srollers will stay in their curled-up state when submerged in liquids until they lunge at the player and touch solid ground, in which they will then return to their normal state.
  • Although Srollers appear to have a visual height of 4 tiles, they can pass through 3 tile-tall spaces.

Trivia

  • Its name is a portmanteau of the words solar and roller.
  • The BestiaryBestiary entry for the Sroller: "These humanoid celestial monsters assault their foes by rolling up into a ball and charging them with their sharp, fiery spikes."
