Potted Lava Plants are placeable furniture items. They have 1/2 (50%) chance of being dropped when opening an Obsidian Crate or Hellstone Crate.

They give off a considerable amount of light but do not count as light sources for NPC housing. They cannot be switched on or off using wiring.
