Not to be confused with the Regal Delicacy, the pet-summoning item dropped by Queen Slime.

The Royal Delight is a pet-summoning item which is dropped by King Slime in Master Mode with a 1/4 (25%) chance. It summons a pet Slime Prince which follows the player around. The pet resembles a miniature King Slime with blush and small dotted eyes.

Trivia

The pet is the male counterpart of the Slime Princess, spawned with the Regal Delicacy.
- The buff tooltip, "He answers to a higher authority", is connected to the Slime Princess buff's tooltip, "She is the higher authority".
When the player is far enough away from Slime Prince, or is away far enough away from the ground, the Slime Prince will drop his crown, morph into a ball, and fly towards the player with his flying magic ability. While flying, slime will continue to drip down the pet.
- King Slime also leaves his crown behind when teleporting.
Following community suggestions, developers toyed with the idea that the Royal Delight and Regal Delicacy could be crafted together into one pet-summoning item. However, this was not implemented until 1.4.4.^[1]
