For other uses, see Seaweed (disambiguation).

Seaweed is a pet-summoning item which summons a Turtle pet that follows the player around. When the player is out of reach, the Turtle will fly using a propeller to catch up to the player. Seaweed has a 1/50 (2%) chance of being found in Ivy Chests, located in the Underground Jungle's Jungle Shrines or Living Mahogany Trees. On the Desktop version Desktop version, Console version Console version, and Mobile version Mobile version, it can also be obtained from Jungle Crates and Bramble Crates with a 1/20 (5%) chance.

  • On the Mobile version Mobile version and Nintendo 3DSNintendo 3DS version version, there used to be a coding error where the Seaweed (junk)Seaweed obtained from fishing would have the description of the pet-summoning Seaweed.
  • The pet turtle is a reference to Tank, a pet tortoise from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This has long been suspected by members of the community, and on May 17th, 2021, Redigit confirmed this to be the case.[1]
