Block-placing wands
Block-placing wands are special tools that allow the player to place blocks they would normally not be able to place. They do not consume any mana. Each wand consumes a specific material from the player's inventory (details listed below). There are 6 / 4 different block-placing wands.
Bone Wand
The Bone Wand places Bone Blocks at the cost of one Bone per block, which can be mined back as bones. On the Desktop version,
Console version, and
Mobile version, the block can be mined back as Bone, whereas on the
Old-gen console version and Nintendo
version, the placed blocks remain as Bone Blocks even if later mined and do not return to normal Bone. The Bone Wand has a
0.4*1/250 (0.4%) chance to drop from Angry Bones, Dark Casters, and Cursed Skulls, which spawn in the Dungeon.
Hive Wand
The Hive Wand places Hives as blocks, which otherwise cannot be placed. Hives must be in the player's inventory in order to place them. It has a 33.33*1/3 (33.33%) chance to be dropped by Queen Bee.
Mining a Hive block placed with the Hive Wand is the same as mining a naturally generated one, hence it can spawn Bees or honey.
The Hive Wand resembles a Honey Dipper, a utensil used for viscous liquids such as honey in real life.
Living Wood Wand
The Living Wood Wand places Living Wood blocks at the cost of one Wood each. The blocks placed are the same as found in Living Trees. It can be found in Living Wood Chests that are found within Living Trees, and obtained from shaking Forest trees.
The Living Wood Wand is only able to use regular Wood. It cannot use Boreal Wood, Palm Wood, Rich Mahogany, Shadewood, Ebonwood, Ash Wood, Pearlwood, Dynasty Wood, or Spooky Wood.
