For the block of identical appearance, see Dirt Block.

The Dirtiest Block is a pet-summoning item that spawns The Dirtiest Block that follows the player. It can be found extremely rarely as a block that looks identical to Dirt Blocks. Upon world generation and depending on world size, up to 3 (in small worlds), 6 (medium), or 9 (large) random Dirt Blocks will be replaced with The Dirtiest Blocks.[1]

Notes

  • Grass cannot grow on The Dirtiest Blocks.
  • In a Celebrationmk10 world, the maximum amount of The Dirtiest Blocks that can generate is multiplied by 5 (up to 15, 30, or 45 depending on world size).
  • In a Not the bees world, The Dirtiest Block can also replace Mud Blocks.
  • The Dirtiest Block will only generate 50 tiles from the left and right true world edges, 50 tiles from the top, and 200 tiles from the bottom.
  • World generation tests blocks at random positions until a valid block to replace with The Dirtiest Block is found. Regardless of world size, this process is capped to a maximum of 2999 replacement attempts, making it possible to have fewer than the maximum number of The Dirtiest Blocks in a world.

Tips

  • Using dyes on the pet can make it look like other blocks.
  • The Dirtiest Block can be found more easily by spraying areas of Dirt Blocks with White or Yellow Solutions, as they can convert normal Dirt Blocks but not The Dirtiest Blocks.

Trivia

  • This item might be a reference to the Merchant's "extra dirty, dirt blocks" mentioned in one of his quotes.[2]
