Pearlwood is a Hardmode-exclusive[a] type of wood harvested from Pearlwood trees and Pearlwood Palm trees found naturally growing in Hallow biomes. Pearlwood trees can be cultivated by placing Acorns on top of Hallowed grass or Mowed Hallowed grass above surface, and Pearlwood Palm trees can be cultivated by placing Acorns on top of Pearlsand Blocks above surface.

    Notes

    • Items crafted from Pearlwood generally have much better stats than those crafted from regular Wood. For example: the Wooden Sword has 7 base damage, while the Pearlwood Sword has 30 base damage. However, since the player will need to have defeated the Wall of Flesh before Pearlwood becomes widely available, they will already likely have access to much higher tiers of equipment than any wooden form can provide.
    • Pearlwood does not spread the Hallow.
