Bottomless Buckets are tools that are capable of placing an infinite amount of liquids by pressing the Use / Attack button. There are four different types of Bottomless Buckets, one for each type of liquid: Bottomless Water Bucket, Bottomless Lava Bucket, Bottomless Honey Bucket, and Bottomless Shimmer Bucket.

Bottomless Buckets can be used limitlessly and are never depleted. They are also slightly faster at placing liquids when compared to standard buckets (especially when moving the cursor around while placing).

Tips

Placing water using a Bottomless Water Bucket.
  • With infinite liquid, the player can easily create pools for fishing, as well as creating an endless amount of Obsidian, Honey Block, Crispy Honey Block, and Aetherium Block when the Bottomless Buckets are paired with each other.
  • The Bottomless Water Bucket enables the player to do the following:
    • If paired with the Flipper or similar items, it can be used to swim upward infinitely by placing water over their head. This is useful for reaching Floating Islands, but it can add a lot of excess water to the surface.
    • It can be used in mid-air to create a platform to step on with Water Walking Boots and its upgrades, resetting any extra jumps. Furthermore, with any wings, it can provide infinite flight pre-Plantera.
    • It can be used to trigger Cute Fishron mount's ability by pouring water over the player, providing a +100% speed buff (which increases the speed to 80 mph), persisting for 6 seconds, as well as a 15% damage buff.
  • The Bottomless Lava Bucket enables the player to do the following:
    • When paired with the Bottomless Water Bucket, it can be used to attain infinite coins, albeit slowly, by crafting and selling Obsidian Skulls.
    • When paired with the Lava Shark mount, and with some practice, this item can be used to grant fast infinite flight in pre-Hardmode by pouring it over oneself repeatedly. This will however quickly flood the area with lava.
      • This technique can be used to flee from the Wall of Flesh when it reaches a very high speed.
    • It can be used in mid-air to create a platform to step on with Lava Waders and its upgrades, resetting any extra jumps. Furthermore, with any wings, it can provide infinite flight pre-Plantera.
  • The Bottomless Honey Bucket enables the player to do the following:
  • The Bottomless Shimmer Bucket enables the player to do the following:
    • It gives the player an infinite source of Shimmer, eliminating the need for the Aether biome.
    • The player can change a town NPC's sprite easily with it.
    • It allows a world created Pre-1.4.4 to be able to access everything locked behind (and including) the Shimmer/the Aether.
