The Yoyo Bag being used with The Eye of Cthulhu.

The Yoyo Bag is a Hardmode accessory which combines the functionalities of the Yoyo Glove, a counterweight, and string. While it is equipped, the reach of all yoyos is increased and hitting an enemy with a yoyo creates a duplicate yoyo as well as a counterweight.

Notes

  • The counterweights will be a random color every throw, so the use of a different color of counterweight does not matter when crafting the Yoyo Bag.
    • Both counterweights can be changed to a preferred color by equipping the preferred color in the accessory slot below the Yoyo Bag.
  • The crafting recipe requires the specific use of a White String. Dyed strings cannot be used to complete the recipe.
    • It is possible, however, to still use any preferred color of string with the Yoyo Bag by equipping the desired color of dyed string in a vanity accessory slot.
  • The Yoyo Bag does not stack with the Yoyo Glove, any counterweight, or any string.
  • When used with the Terrarian, the second yoyo will also shoot out homing projectiles.
  • The Yoyo Bag is only available in Hardmode, as the Skeleton Merchant will only sell the Yoyo Glove during Hardmode.

Tips

  • This accessory does not affect single-target damage much, since all yoyos except the Terrarian use global invincibility frames, meaning the two yoyos cannot hit the same target.
    • The damage increase against multiple targets and multi-segmented worm enemies, on the other hand, is considerable. DPS can easily be tripled thanks to the additional damage sources to hit multiple targets, and usability is noticeably increased thanks to the longer range, more opportunities to hit targets, and defensive layer from the counterweights.
