The Magiluminescence is a pre-Hardmode accessory that increases the player's maximum movement speed by 15% and their acceleration and deceleration by 75%. This increase stacks with the bonus of the Hermes Boots and their variants.[1] It also creates an aura of light around the player, which can be useful when exploring underground. The Magiluminescence's movement speed buffs are disabled when the player is not grounded.[2]

Tips

  • Due to the easy crafting recipe, availability before any bosses are defeated, and the extra acceleration and light radius given, this is a useful accessory for early pre-Hardmode.

Trivia

  • The tooltip is a reference to Wendy's examination quote for the Magiluminescence in Don't Starve.
  • The Topaz requirement is a reference to this item's crafting recipe in Don't Starve, which includes a Yellow Gem.
