Shinobi Infiltrator armor is a Hardmode, post-Golem armor set purchased from the Tavernkeep for 1500000*150 Defender Medal in total, and provides summon as well as melee damage bonuses.

The set consists of the Shinobi Infiltrator's Helmet, Shinobi Infiltrator's Torso, and Shinobi Infiltrator's Pants.

A full set of Shinobi Infiltrator armor provides the following bonuses:

Equipping the full set will increase the attack rate of Lightning Aura sentries, will cause them to deal critical hits with a fixed 1/4 (25%) chance, and will increase their radius by 4 tiles.

The Shinobi Infiltrator armor can be considered a direct upgrade of the Monk armor.

Notes

  • When paired with Lightning Aura and using Morning Star or Kaleidoscope, the critical strike chance granted by the set bonus and the summon tag critical chance granted by the whip are not simply added up; instead, they will be treated as two independent events. The final critical strike chance would be about 34% (Morning Star) / 32.5% (Kaleidoscope).[1]

Tips

  • The Shinobi Infiltrator's Torso can be swapped out for the Valhalla Knight's Breastplate to greatly increase one's defensive capabilities in trade for a lower melee speed. Alternatively, the Monk's Shirt provides an extra 20% damage at the loss of 4 defense. However, the Shinobi Infiltrator's Torso does higher damage than the Monk's Shirt if using a weapon that benefits from melee speed, such as the Terra Blade.
    • It is also worth noting that if one was to wear the full Shinobi Infiltrator armor, they can place the enhanced Lightning Aura sentries, and then swap to better armor pieces. It requires a little more micro-management but allows one to keep the radius increase, while still benefiting from better armor.
  • This set also increases whip speed, making it still a considerable set for summoners (especially when combined with the Feral Claws or any of its upgrades).

  • A ninja (忍者) or shinobi (忍び) was a covert agent or mercenary in feudal Japan. The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination, and open combat in certain situations.
