    Blood Butcherer
The Blood Butcherer attacking a Shark and a Target Dummy, inflicting one "stack" of the Blood Butchered debuff for each hit. Note how this deals 4 damage per second up to a maximum of 20 damage per second.

The Blood Butcherer is a pre-Hardmode sword. When swung, it inflicts the Blood Butchered debuff upon enemy hits, dealing 4 damage per second for 9 seconds and causing enemies to visibly bleed. Repeated attacks will cause the debuff to stack up to five times, for a total of 20 damage per second.[1]

It is the Crimson counterpart to The Corruption's Light's Bane. The Blood Butcherer has a greater size and base damage than the Light's Bane, but has a slower speed.

Its best modifier is Legendary.
