The Crate Potion is a buff potion which grants the Crate buff when consumed. The buff increases the chance of getting a crate from 1/10 (10%) to 1/4 (25%) when fishing. This lasts for 4 minutes, but can be canceled at any time by right-clicking the icon (Desktop version), by selecting the icon using Cycle Next/Previous Buff and then pressing Remove Buff (Console version), or by double-tapping the buff icon (Mobile version).

The Crate Potion can be obtained both from crafting and as a reward from the Angler for completing fishing quests.

History

  • Desktop 1.4.4:
    • Stack limit increased from 30 to 9999.
    • Duration increased from 3 minutes to 4 minutes.
    • Potency of Crate fishing chance increased by 50% (this is an overall increase of 25% more crates when fishing with a Crate Potion active).
  • Desktop 1.4.0.5: Fixed a typo in the code. Now requires Shiverthorn and Waterleaf instead of Deathweed, as originally intended.
