The BBQ Ribs are a Hardmode food item that grant the Exquisitely Stuffed buff when consumed. This lasts for 24 minutes, but can be canceled at any time by right-clicking the icon (Desktop version), by selecting the icon using Cycle Next/Previous Buff and then pressing Remove Buff (Console version), or by double-tapping the buff icon (Mobile version). The BBQ Ribs have a 1/21 (4.76%) chance of being dropped by Skeleton Commandos, Skeleton Snipers, and Tactical Skeletons, and a 1/7 (14.29%) chance of being dropped by Paladins.

Like all other food items, the BBQ Ribs can be placed on a Plate.

Tips

  • Due to the relatively high drop chance compared to other food items that provide the Exquisitely Stuffed buff, the BBQ Ribs may be a viable farming option for late-game players.

Trivia

  • This food item may be a reference to Meat in the action-adventure video game series Castlevania, as both are meat-themed items that provide beneficial effects. However, in the Castlevania games, Meat is a powerful healing item that is usually hidden within breakable blocks but can be obtained in a variety of different ways across the series, such as by hitting candles, purchasing it from vendors, or defeating specific enemies.
  • The BBQ Ribs dropping from specific kinds of skeletons (Skeleton Commandos, Skeleton Snipers and Tactical Skeletons) likely alludes to their ribs being visibly exposed.
