The Cat License is a consumable item that can be purchased from the Zoologist for 5 GC.

Upon use, the status message "The license teleports away to the cat delivery service..." is displayed. Following this status message, a Town Cat will move into an available house the next morning. Using a second Cat License when a Town Cat is already present in the current world causes it to disappear and be "exchanged". The Town Cat then respawns the next morning with its name and breed rerolled.

Notes

• Just like any other NPC, the Town Cat requires valid housing with proper size, background walls, a table, a chair, and a light source. However, it can share a house already occupied by another NPC, although not with another town pet.
