Lead Ore is a pre-Hardmode ore. It spawns in the Underground and Cavern layers, and occasionally on the surface. Lead Ore also has a small chance to appear as a bonus drop from slimes.
Its alternate ore counterpart is Iron Ore.

Trivia
- Lead Ore and Iron Ore are the only ores that do not have corresponding chandeliers.
- Real lead is very soft, malleable, and poisonous, generally making it infeasible for crafting tools. The use of lead in Terraria more closely resembles steel.
