Crystal Bullets in action.

The Crystal Bullet is a Hardmode bullet. It shatters upon impact with enemies or solid blocks, splitting into two small shards. The shards have a short range, can pass through blocks, and deal 50% of the weapon's damage (4 damage).[1]

Tips

  • Many of the small shards deal multiple hits per shot and can hit the same target multiple times.
    • This also makes them useful in killing the Dungeon Guardian, as each shard counts as an individual projectile.
  • Crystal shards tend to fly in the opposite direction the bullet was fired. This makes Crystal Bullets more effective against enemies that chase the player at a high speed, but slightly less effective against stationary ones.
  • Despite their low knockback stat, knockback-susceptible enemies are easily stun-locked, meaning they are excellent for defense throughout Hardmode.
