Notes

  • Chlorophyte Bullets can home in on enemies within an 18.75-tile range.[1]
Chlorophyte Bullets in action. Note how they swerve around blocks to hit targets.
  • Chlorophyte Bullets will not home in on other players during PvP, on Target Dummies as they are not technically enemies, and on Martian Probes.
  • Chlorophyte Bullets will home in on Mimics and Nymphs/Lost Girls even before they become hostile.
  • Reflected Chlorophyte Bullets from enemies like the Selenian(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) will not home in on the player.

Tips

Trivia

  • It is possible for Chlorophyte Bullets to slow down greatly, nearly to the point of stopping. This can occur when fighting weak enemies (such as slimes) and using a fast-firing gun (such as the Chain Gun) if the targeted enemy is killed by a shot with other shots on screen, and those shots having no targets.

History

  • Desktop 1.4.1.2: Crafting now reduced from 1 Chlorophyte Bar for every 70 bullets to 1 bar for every 60 bullets.

References

  1. Information taken from the Desktop version Desktop 1.4.4.9 source code, method AI_001() in Terraria.Projectile.cs. The bullets can home in on an enemy if the sum of their horizontal and vertical distance from that enemy is less than 18.75 tiles.
