Musket Balls being fired by a Handgun.
The Musket Ball is a pre-Hardmode bullet. It has no special properties and is used for crafting a variety of more advanced ammunition.
Musket Balls can be bought from the Arms Dealer for 7 CC each, or 70 SC for 1000 rounds. They can also be obtained from Shadow Orbs and Crimson Hearts (along with a Musket or The Undertaker), or from a Present (along with a Red Ryder) during Christmas.
The Endless Musket Pouch(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) serves as an infinite amount of Musket Balls.

Notes
- Musket Balls and Tungsten Bullets can be used interchangeably with weapons that "convert Musket Balls" into a special projectile. This is due to their internal projectile IDs being identical.
Tips
- Even though Musket Balls have the lowest base damage of all bullets, they are adequate even against Hardmode enemies. Hardmode bosses, however, should be dealt with using better ammo.
Trivia
- Despite being called "Musket Balls", they can be used as ammunition for any weapon that requires bullets to fire, since they were introduced alongside the Musket, which was one of the only guns in the game.
