Fertilizer in action.

The Fertilizer is a consumable item which immediately grows trees when used on a sapling.

Each use causes the player character to throw out Fertilizer in a small area in front of them. If a sapling meeting the required growing conditions is present in the area of effect, it will immediately sprout into a tree of the corresponding biome.

Saplings that fail to fulfill the growing requirements will not sprout into trees even if the Fertilizer is used on them, essentially wasting the item.

Tips

• Using Fertilizer in conjunction with the Axe of Regrowth, with its ability to replant trees as saplings upon cutting them down, allows the player to gather wood quickly and effectively.
  • Keep in mind, however, that Fertilizer can be fairly expensive to mass-produce, due to the tedium of producing Poo and the non-renewability of Ash Blocks.
