The Honeyfin is a consumable fish and recovery potion that restores 120 health and inflicts Potion Sickness for 60 seconds when used, making it superior to standard Healing Potions. This duration can be reduced via the Philosopher's Stone or Charm of Myths. It can also be used to craft Seafood Dinners.

The Honeyfin can be fished from honey found in Bee Hives within the Underground Jungle. Other than the Bumblebee Tuna that can be found during Angler quests, Honeyfins are the only fish that can be caught in honey.

(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) Honeyfins are tied with the Restoration Potion for the most effective healing potion that can be obtained without entering Hardmode. It can be worth spending some time fishing to build up a supply of them.
- On the Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DS version, Greater Healing Potions, which restore more health than Honeyfins, have a chance of being obtained from Golden Crates, also obtained by fishing, without entering Hardmode.
Because they are the only non-quest fish obtained from fishing in honey, they can be an excellent way of stocking up on Seafood Dinners.
