The Undertaker is a pre-Hardmode gun. It will always drop from the first Crimson Heart destroyed in a Crimson world (along with 100 Musket Balls) and has a 1/5 (20%) chance of dropping from destroyed Crimson Hearts afterward. It also has a 1/5 (20%) chance of being obtained from Crimson(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) and Hematic Crates(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) fished in the Crimson.

Its Corruption counterpart is the Musket. Compared to the Musket, The Undertaker fires much more quickly at the cost of decreased damage per shot.

Its best modifier is Unreal.

Tips

  • The Undertaker's stats are similar to that of the Flintlock Pistol, though with more damage and a slower rate of fire. (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Compared to the Musket, The Undertaker sells for half the price at 1 GC.
  • If the player wishes to acquire The Undertaker through fishing, using a Crate Potion will increase the odds of catching a crate by 10%.

  • The Undertaker resembles a six shooter.
  • An undertaker, also known as a mortician in American English or, more generally, funeral director, is a professional involved in the business of funeral rites.
  • Modifier prefixes are added in front of the "The" in its name, which can result in a grammatically incorrect name such as "Keen The Undertaker". It shares this trait with all other items that can obtain modifiers and whose names begin with "The".
  • The Dart Pistol can be considered a Hardmode version of The Undertaker.

History

  • Desktop 1.4.4:
    • Damage increased from 15 to 22.
    • Use time reduced from 23 to 20.
    • Knockback increased from 1 to 2.
  • Desktop 1.4.0.1: Aligned sell value with all other Crimson Heart/Shadow Orb loot, increasing it from 1 GC to 1 GC50 SC.
