(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) The Flower Pow attacking Target Dummies and a Mimic.

The Flower Pow is a Hardmode, post-Plantera flail which, in addition to the usual flail mechanics, has the unique ability to rapidly fire pink flower petals at nearby enemies. Petal projectiles deal 66.67% of the weapon's base damage (86 damage) and inflict half of its knockback (base knockback of 3.25 (Weak)).[1] While the Use / Attack button is held, the Flower Pow's head launches petals at a steady rate at nearby enemies within its line of sight. The fire rate increases drastically when the flail's head is released and remains at rest on solid blocks. The Flower Pow has a (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) 1/7 (14.29%) / (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) 1/6 (16.67%) chance of being dropped by Plantera.

Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic. Both modifiers increase the average damage output by the same amount.

Notes

  • When pressed against a 1-block wide wall, a player can launch the Flower Pow through the wall (this goes for every wall, above or beneath the player), making it helpful for attacking enemies from safety.
  • In the Nintendo 3DSNintendo 3DS version version, the Flower Pow may not always shoot petals at enemies.Verify

Trivia

  • Its name is a play on "flower power", a peace slogan used during the late 1960s to early 1970s.
  • The petals it fires are similar to the seeds Plantera fires in her first stage.
  • The Flower Pow is one of three flails that fire additional projectiles, the others being the Drippler Crippler(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) and the Flairon.
