The Leaf Blower is a Hardmode, post-Plantera magic weapon that rapidly fires a barrage of leaf projectiles in a semi-randomized spread, which begin swerving slightly after traveling about 15 tiles. The leaves do not pierce enemies. The Leaf Blower has a (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) 1/7 (14.29%) / (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) 1/6 (16.67%) chance of being dropped by Plantera.
(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) Its best modifier is Mythical.
(Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Its best modifier is either Masterful for mana conservation or Godly/Demonic for higher damage output. It cannot get the Mythical modifier due to its low mana cost.
Notes
- While wielding the Leaf Blower, a green tank which appears to contain a small tree will appear on the player's back. The Heat Ray, Elf Melter, Clentaminator, and Terraformer(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) also have this feature.
- If the player has a pair of wings equipped, the wings will not be visible unless in use.
- (3DS version) Due to the damage and velocity increase of the Zapinator, it is largely considered favorable over the Leaf Blower. However, it is a rarer drop from Plantera.
- It can be considered a predecessor to the Razorpine.
Trivia
- In real life, a leaf blower is a device that fires air out of a nozzle to move plant-based debris, including leaves and grass cuttings.
- On some mounts, the Leaf Blower does not appear properly on the back. It will instead appear a few pixels too high as if it was stuck to the player's head.
