The Terra Blade is a Hardmode, post-Plantera broadsword. When swung, a green aura follows the swing, reaching farther than the sword itself. The aura can hit up to three enemies. The sword will also fire a green slash projectile that pierces infinitely, dealing the weapon's damage but reducing its damage by 25% for each target it pierces.[1] The projectile will dissipate after 1.5 seconds,[2] upon contact with blocks, or when its damage falls to 0 after piercing.[3]
Its best modifier is Legendary.

Tips
- Due to the fast speed and high damage of the projectiles, it is very effective to use the Terra Blade even at long distances. However, using the close ranged swing is important to maximize the damage output.
- Because the Terra Blade shoots a projectile that can penetrate through enemies, it is highly effective when fighting against hordes of enemies or for events such as the Old One's Army and Martian Madness.
- When seeking to craft the Terra Blade, the player should gradually get all the materials needed as they progress through the game.
- Unlike other projectile-firing melee weapons, the Terra Blade's projectile fire rate scales with the main sword's attack speed. Due to this, it gets a large boost from melee speed buffs.
Trivia
- Crafting the Terra Blade requires obtaining a total of eight different usable swords.
- The Terra Blade's functionality is a combination of both of its ingredient weapons: the piercing projectiles of the True Night's Edge and the extended melee slash attacks of the True Excalibur.
- The Terra Blade resembles the Night's Edge, featuring a curved blade with holes in its side.
- The Terra Blade appears in two video games as part of a crossover: Dungeon Defenders 2 and Palworld.
