Not to be confused with Wall Anchor.
The Anchor being used. Note the arcing fire.

The Anchor is a Hardmode flail that has a 3.78% chance of being found in Pearlwood Crates, obtained from fishing. When used, it fires an anchor in an arc, attached to the player via a rope. It returns after traveling a medium distance, or upon contact with blocks or enemies. It hits all enemies while returning.

Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic. Both modifiers increase the average damage output by the same amount. However, Ruthless might be preferred if the player already has very high critical strike chance.

Trivia

  • The Anchor can be considered an upgrade to the Harpoon, though the latter is a ranged weapon.
