The Revolver is a pre-Hardmode gun that can be purchased from the Traveling Merchant for 10 GC after a Shadow Orb or Crimson Heart has been smashed.
The Revolver has a base 9% critical strike chance as opposed to the usual 4%.
Its best modifier is Unreal.
Notes
- It can be considered an indirect upgrade to the Red Ryder.
- In the Desktop version, Console version, and Mobile version, the Traveling Merchant uses it to defend himself, but will switch to a Pulse Bow once the world is in Hardmode.
Trivia
- The Revolver and the Sniper Rifle have the highest projectile velocity of any ranged weapon, provided that High Velocity Bullets are used with the former (as the latter converts Musket Balls into High Velocity Bullets).
- The Revolver is one of the 11 guns in Terraria based on a real gun, the others being the Chain Gun, Flintlock Pistol, Handgun, Musket, Quad-Barrel Shotgun(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), Red Ryder(Desktop, Console, Old-gen console and Mobile versions), Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, Tactical Shotgun, and Uzi.
