The Pearlwood Sword is an alternate version of the Wooden Sword made using Pearlwood from the The Hallow. It can only be naturally obtained in Hardmode because the Hallow biome only emerges after Hardmode is triggered.

Its best modifier is Legendary.

Notes

Despite being the best type of wooden sword, it is also one of the weakest Hardmode-exclusive weapons.
- (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) The Classy Cane may be considered a weaker weapon due to its lower base damage value of 16, compared to the Pearlwood Sword's 30 base damage. The Pearlwood Sword also autoswings, unlike the Classy Cane, and has double the knockback of the Classy Cane.

Trivia

(Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Since this sword is only slightly better than the pre-Hardmode Wooden Sword and does not auto-swing, there is little to no point crafting it for normal survival and fighting purposes.
Its sprite is very similar to the Wooden Sword; however, there are a few changes, most notably its lighter color. The quillons of this sword appear to curve upward, parallel to the blade.
The Pearlwood Sword is made obsolete by other melee weapons during early Hardmode such as the Shadowflame Knife(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) and the Drippler Crippler(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions).
