The Nutcracker is a Hardmode, post-Plantera enemy that starts to spawn beginning with wave 3 during the Frost Moon event. There are two Nutcracker variants, each with slightly differing damage and defense. The first variant will transform into the more powerful second variant when its health is reduced to below 55% (990 / 1,485 / 2,227).[1] The Nutcracker's spinning second form gains a higher resistance to knockback and significantly increased movement speed, although it loses the ability to jump.

Killing a Nutcracker during the Frost Moon event will add 4 / 8 / 10 points to the final score.[2]
