The Archery Potion is a buff potion which grants the Archery buff when consumed. The buff increases the damage of arrow-firing weapons by 10%, as well as the velocity of arrows by 20%. This lasts for 8 minutes, but can be canceled at any time by right-clicking the icon (Desktop version), by selecting the icon using Cycle Next/Previous Buff and then pressing Remove Buff (Console version), or by double-tapping the buff icon (Mobile version).

In addition to being crafted, Archery Potions can be found in Pots and Chests.

Notes

  • The increased velocity of arrow will be capped at 20 base velocity (without extraUpdates). If the base velocity is already no less than 20, the velocity bonus from Archery buff will have no effect.[1]
  • Unlike other items, it directly adds 10% of the overall damage of bows and repeaters; in other words, it multiplies with other damage boosts (including the damage boost from the Shroomite Headgear and the Magic Quiver).
  • Despite the tooltip saying it increases only the bow's damage, it increases the combined damage of the bow or repeater and the ammo.[1]

History

  • Desktop 1.4.4:
    • Stack limit increased from 30 to 9999.
    • Bow damage bonus reduced from 1.2x to 1.1x.
  • Desktop 1.4.0.1:
    • Duration increased from 4 to 8 minutes.
    • Now also affects the Stake Launcher.
  • Desktop 1.2.3: One can now see the Archery buff's damage bonus in the item tooltips when it is up.
  • Desktop 1.0.6: Now boosts arrow speed and damage by 20% instead of 15%.
